The Village Hall
The main entrance to the village hall is to be found on the south east corner of the building, at the entrance to the car park.
There is a second entrance to the village hall on the north side of the building, used mainly for access to the small hall.
As you enter the entrance lobby, to your right is the commemorative stone laid to mark the building of this hall.
From the entrance lobby are doors to the main hall and the meeting room, together with mens, ladies and disabled (wih baby change facilities) toilets.
The main hall measures 50' by 25' and is used for many purposes, including parties and wedding receptions, meetings and presentations, indoor sports together with cinema and theatre performances.
The wooden floor of the village hall is ideal for dancing and sports.
The stage is used for theatre and cinema performances, and is the ideal position for bands and discos.
There is an array of lighting to suit meetings or parties. The hall can be blacked out for presentations and theatre performances. Off of the main hall are situated our very own toddler toilets!
The west side of the main hall has a large bay of windows, leading to the patio area. Our patio area is enclosed and there is a gate leading out to the well equipped village playground. The cricketfield is to the north of the village hall.
The small hall can be accessed from both the main hall and from the entrance doors on the north side of the village hall.
It measures 32' by 16' and is mainly used for meetings and smaller gatherings.
The small hall is well lit, is served by a hatch to the kitchen and has its own supply of tables and chairs. It is perfect for using as a separate eating area when hiring the main hall for a childrens party.
The village hall has a modern kitchen which has been recently renovated with 2 large serving hatches onto the main hall, a double oven, fridge, ample stainless steel worktops and dishwasher, and a plumbed in hot water supply for endless teas and coffees! Ideal for catering.
The meeting room provides an area ideal for committee meetings, working parties, break out groups from the main hall or as a creche while other activities take place.
The meeting room measures 12' by 10', is well lit and has a table and chairs.
Outside the hall is a car park for up to 30 vehicles, which is lit by two lampposts and movement sensitive lighting on the village hall.
